Aim: To design Universal ID Card for Colleges.

Working Principle:

In this project we are making our own id card for students which can be used in various departments such as library, training and placement, office etc…

Block diagram Explanation:

THE MAIN IDEA FOR THE PROJECT IS  TO REPLACE THE  STUDENTS  ID CARD WITH OUR SMART MEMORY CARDWHICH CAN BE USED ANY WHERE IN THE COLLEGE

FOR THIS WE HAVE 3 SYSTEMS ON PC  VISUAL BASIC SOFTWARE

        1.LIBRARY SYSTEM

        2.OFFICE SYSTEM

        3.TRAINING AND PLACEMENT DEPARTMENT  (T&P)

HERE THE STUDENT HAS TO FIRST INSERT THE SMART CARD IN THE SMART CARD CONNECTOR,OF THE CORRESPONDING SYSTEM THE MICROCONTROLLER WILL READ THE NAME AND PASSWORD FROM THE SMART CARD .IT WILL THEN DISPLAY THE NAME OF THE STUDENT AND AFTERWORDS ACCORDING TO THE SYSTEM WILL ASK THE STUDENT TO INTERREACT WITH THE PC WHICH HAS THE VB SOFTWARE.

AS SHOWN THE STUDENT HAS TO SELECT FROM A RANGE OF BOOKS WHICH ARE CATAGORIZED IN A PROPER MANNER . AFTER SELECTING THE BOOKS 

 

WORKING:

IN THIS SECTION THE STUDENT HAS TO INSERT THE LIBRARY CARD IN THE READER.ONCE THE CARD IS INSERTED µC WILL READ THE BOOKS STORED IN THE SMART CARD AND SEND IT TO PC( VB).

ON THE PC WE ARE MAKING VISUAL BASIC SOFTWARE WHICH WILL ACCPECT THESE BOOKS AND DISPLAY IN THE FOLLOWING FORMAT.

 

HERE THE NEW BOOKS ISSUED ARE SENT TO THE SMART CARD VIA MICROCONTROLLER WHEN WE PRESS THE SEND BOOK BUTTON.

STUDENT CAN SELECT AT THE MAX. 4 BOOKS WHICH HE CAN SELECT  FROM A DATABASE OF BOOKS WHICH WE ARE GOING TO MAKE. THE BOOKS SELECTED BY ANY STUDENT WILL BE SENT TO ISSUE BOOK SECTION FROM WHERE THE LIBRARIAN WILL SEND THE NEW UPDATED BOOKS TO SMART CARD VIA MICROCONTROLLER.

 

SIMILARLY OFFICE SOFTWARE WILL HAVE

ALL THE 4 YEARS OF RECEIPTS,ALL THE RECORD OF THE STUDENT

  • LCD: 16*2 , 100 ma , LCD Display
  • Power Supply: 5V, 750 ma current.
